Honestly if they were to add Jove-anything to DUST 514, it is going to annihilate game balance. If any of you know EVE lore, the Jove single handedly destroyed an Amarr Armada with only like a fifth of their ship count. In addition, they also are the ones who gave clone technology to New Eden.
Even in EVE Online we can't use Jove ships and most people aren't even allowed into their systems. I feel the same situation would be here for DUST; the Jove don't want anyone using their stuff. |

if they implemented it they would need a good backstory, and a basic jove suit would be like proto level and advanced would be superproto and so on. and if they did it would need alot of sp and everthing would be very confusing.
though i like the idea of a type of suit that is higher up than the proto level. maybe it could be called war-type WAR for short. it would be a beast battle tested suit that has some perks over a proto.
I think you are referring to the Sleepers. They are a lost civilization and capsuleers are constantly digging through their ruins. That is where they discovered the technology used for Mercenary Clones. Aside from their genetic disease, the Jove are doing moderately well and just decided to hole themselves off from the rest of New Eden. |

Well, I'm sure the Jove have some active Marines or land based military. How else would they protect all their planet based colonies? That doesn't mean they are going to share their antimatter shotguns or whatever they may have with us. |

Clearly you haven't read all the books, so listen here.
A long ass time ago by New Eden standards there were four ancient civilizations. They were the Sleepers, Talocan, Takmahl, and Yan Jung. The other three have barely been touched on in EVE lore but the Sleepers were revealed during the Apocrypha expansion.
The Jovians are a completely different race than the Sleepers, but yes, they are dying off but as of now not to the point of immediate destruction.
The Jove gave the first capsuleer tech to the Caldari, but you needed to undergo an operation to become a capsuleer and even then your immortality only applied if you died in your capsule. The implants in the heads of the Sleepers are the breakthrough tech that was needed to miniaturize "immortal" clone technology. |
